Józef Majka University of Social Sciences in Mińsk Mazowiecki Founded by the Pallottines, at the beginning had its headquarters in Warsaw but from the academic year 2007/2008 located at ul. Sosnkowskiego 43 in Minsk Mazowiecki.




Priest. prof. Assoc. Joseph Majka (1918 - 1993).


An outstanding scholar, teacher and tutor of younger generations of Polish philosophers, ethicists and sociologists. Special merit in the field of Catholic social teaching and the sociology of religion. He has lectured at many universities, including the Catholic University of Lublin, the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Krakow and the Pontifical Faculty of Theology in Wroclaw, he was rector for many years
Actively participated in many national and international scientific associations, as well as cooperated with the editorial boards of scientific journals. The result of his scientific work are books and numerous articles on the subjects often refering to the key social issues of the contemporary world, and in particular to the work ethos, social justice and personalistic vision of man.


He was a tireless priest and educator.

Mińsk Mazowiecki  "Masovian Minsk" is a town in central Poland with 38 181 inhabitants (2008). It is situated in the Masovian Voivodeship (since 1999), previously in Siedlce Voivodeship (1975–1998). It is the capital of Mińsk County.
