Buckingham is one of a small number of independent universities in the UK with a Royal Charter. With around 2,000 students (approx 1,300 on campus), honours degrees are achieved in two intensive years of study. We keep class sizes small, with a student:academic staff ratio of 11.3:1 and the Oxbridge style tutorial groups are often personalised and always exhilarating.

Choosing the right university is clearly a very important decision, with many factors to take into consideration. We have given a range of information here on our website and in our literature which we hope will help you in your decision-making process.

Our two-year honours degree is taught by established academics through lectures and small group tutorials. Details of all of our courses, including foundation, professional, undergraduate, postgraduate and research, are available through our Course Finder.

Visit Buckingham

We hope you will take the opportunity to visit the University on one of our Open Days. We also offer guided walking tours of our university campus at 11:00 and 14:00 daily during University term-time (excluding weekends), when you will have the opportunity to meet with an Admissions Tutor or member of academic staff from your chosen subject area.
