The University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica is a higher education institution that performs five expert and three graduate specialist expert study programmes with curricula being realized by means of advanced technologies that are continuously being updated, renewed and which facilitate easier transfer of knowledge necessary for the students, once they reach the labour market to have easier access to employment and career advancement, i.e. existence in one of today’s modern organizations.

The aim of the VVG is to provide education to students in specific areas of professions and thus contribute to the general development of the education system and ensure sufficient mass and quality of highly qualified staff. The need for education of certain staff is indicated by the constant analysis of the human potential market. This analysis has shown that there is a lack of experts in certain professions and it is therefore that VVG performs the study programmes that appear for the first time in the educational process not only in Croatia but also in the world. It is precisely because of this different approach to the education of its students and the creation of new values for the needs of the economy that VVG has been included among the first three higher education institutions of this type in Croatia regarding the number of enrolled students.
