A Bachelor’s degree furnishes students with a general qualification for diverse career opportunities but also serves as a qualification to continue their education in a Master’s program. Students earn their degree after they have acquired the necessary number of credits by successfully completing all of the modules and by complying with the conditions laid down in the study regulations. Successfully passing a module requires a formal assessment, which may be in the form of a written or oral examination, presentation, written work, etc.
The academic credit system at Business School PAR is in complete accordance with ECTS regarding credit transfer and accumulation. The ECTS credit system is based on the workload students are expected to achieve while fulfilling learning outcomes. They reflect the quantity of work each course requires in relation to the total quantity of work necessary to complete a full year of academic study at the institution. 60 ECTS credits correspond to the workload of a full-time academic year of formal learning and the associated learning outcomes. At BS PAR, one ECTS credit is equivalent to 30 hours of workload for a full-time student, which is determined with regard to the study capacity of 1 academic year (1800 hrs). There is full recognition of study abroad classes according to data provided in the Transcript of Records from the host HEI. If the results are stated in local credits, we detect the conversion and transfer local credits from the host to ECTS equivalences.
