COMPLETION OF STUDY: Completed all the obligations stipulated by the study program and curricula of the study subjects to the extent of 240 ECTS; thesis (preparation and presentation of graduation thesis and degree thesis))

2nd CYCLE (POSTGRADUATE / MASTER STUDIES)

DURATION OF STUDY: Expressed by semesters 2, expressed by credit points: 60 ECTS
NUMBER OF ADMISSIONS:  25 full-time students, 25 part-time students
PROFESSIONAL TITLE: Master of Fine Arts; Abbreviation: MSc. in Fine Arts
COMPLETION OF STUDY:  Completed all the obligations stipulated by the study program and curricula of the study subjects to the extent of 60 ECTS; two-phased degree study (preparation and presentation of the master’s thesis)

Full-time and part-time study: in-service course, parallel, individual; part-time study is designed in a way to make it suitable for the form of “distance learning”. Obligations for all types of studies are the same.

FORMS OF LIFELONG EDUCATION:

Advanced training, supplementation, deepening, updating of knowledge.

INFORMAL LEARNING AND PREPARATORY YEAR:

If necessary, we are also preparing training programs, courses, ex-tempore, summer schools, workshops and field trips (workshops in ceramics, glass fusion and graphics, as well as a visit to the Venice Biennale, as part of the curriculum). Preparatory year is aimed at the acquisition of knowledge, which represents the main criteria for enrolment at the 1st or 2nd cycle degree.

THE UNDERGRADUATE STUDY

Part-Time

The tuition fee for one year (2 semesters) of study shall be paid upon enrolment.
In the event that the student wants to pay tuition for two or more study years in a lump sum, he/she will be afforded a special discount.

MASTER’S DEGREE STUDIES

Part-Time

The tuition fee for one year of master’s study is to be paid upon enrolment.

Tuition for the preparatory year of undergraduate or master study is € 2,000; it shall be paid upon enrolment.

The scholarship also covers the costs of the degree exam. There is no enrolment fee. Tuition covers the cost of issuing certificates, exam recognitions, grade printouts and other administrative services.

The tuition fees do not include the costs of issuing duplicate documents, of cancellation of documents, optional expert excursions and other optional extracurricular activities, as well as the costs of the damages that would be caused by a student at the facility or equipment of the College of Visual Arts.

We are the only Slovenian and European higher education institution with an 8-semester undergraduate study. During his/her studies in all phases of the study process, each student receives support from all the lecturers of the school, which is undoubtedly one of the greatest features. The curriculum is our own original contribution, incorporating the original contents. Higher education staff is properly habilitated, all lecturers are also active as authors in the artistic and professional field. Enrolment procedure was completely simplified while at the same time allowing the candidates to enrol at any time throughout the year. We have no upper age limit for enrolment and there is no entrance exam. We have the most advantageous tuition, which is completely unrivaled, because it is up to a half lower than the fees of related studies. Part-time study is extremely elaborate and organized, thus making it also suitable for employees, parallel students, and for those who do not reside in Ljubljana. We have the largest range of extracurricular activities, which is unmatched by any related higher education institution. Along with a diverse schedule, we offer a splendid range of selected lectures from various fields of interest.

The candidate applies for enrolment by completing the Application Form of the College of Visual Arts. The Application needs to be sent by e-mail.

An integral part of the Application Form is also a portfolio. Photos may be sent by e-mail separately or integrated into the Application Form.
